Salty Joe’s in Robe

If you are looking for friendly accomodation in Robe that’s SO close to the beach then keep on reading, because I have found the place for you.

I introduce to you, Salty Joe’s.

The only thing salty about this accomodation is its proximity to the beach. This bungalow sleeps 8, has 5 beds and 2 bathrooms, making it the perfect place for those with kids in tow. We however didn’t have any children with us, but as a couple we loved it just the same. It’s fenced in making it pet proof, and rumour has it they are very doggo friendly (as is the whole town of Robe).

Coastal is the theme throughout the home, with hues of blue and plenty of light and bright spaces. It reminds me of your typical beach shack, but a lot nicer. The living room is cosy yet airy, making it the perfect place to slowly start the morning or wind up the evening (we spent our nights here with a wine in hand. Party animals right?!) There’s a gas fireplace for the winter and aircon for summer, as well as a deck on the on the rooftop to take advantage of when the weather is balmy.

The house is split into two areas- the main dwelling and a seperate granny flat of sorts ,where there are three beds and another bathroom (the perfect place to hide away the kids).

This shack has a kitchen with the basics if you are looking to cook, as well as a BBQ if you’re after an easy dinner. A long dining table sits in the sunroom, perfect for big groups. If cooking doesn’t tickle your fancy, then jump in the car and drive 5 minutes to the heart of Robe, where you can find a supermarket, restaurants and cafes serving local and seasonal fare. Our picks are the pub (The Cally) and Cafes No 4 and Drift for brekky and lunch.

My favourite part of this accomodation- the rooftop deck and how close it is to the beach. When you sit on the deck out the front you can hear (and see!) the waves rolling in onto Long Beach. Now that’s what a holiday down the beach is all about. Long Beach is perfect place for a dip or stroll, or if you want to head towards town, jump onto the Coastal Trail- at a leisurely pace you’ll find yourself in Robe in about 25 minutes, with some breathtaking views along the way.

If you are looking for a shack that is all about the beach, then you better get booking.

**Dressed in Copper was invited as a guest to stay at Salty Joes by Robe Lifestyle Properties. Although invited, opinions remain honest and my own, and we had a fabulous stay!**
