Huge backyard and perfect for kids.

If you’re looking for a place to stay that ticks all the boxes and more, you need to get acquainted to Sunny’s at Middleton.

Situated in the heart of Middleton, just over an hours drive from Adelaide, this two story holiday house is the perfect place for a staycation with loved ones. We absolutely love Middleton and are regularly day-trip visitors, so when we were invited to stay by Sunny’s, we jumped at the chance.

The home sleeps up to 10 people comfortably, with 3 large bedrooms and two separate living areas. The downstairs lounge, equipt with TV, puzzles, kids toys and activities and a kids size table/chairs and colouring, makes it the perfect kids retreat. As our little ones were still quite little, we all spent a lot of time down stairs, but loved that the area felt so comfortable and that it also opened onto the massive backyard. We scored some great weather so spent plenty of time out on the lawn, washing shells and treasures we collected from beach. There is also a fantastic firepit that would be brilliant to sit around as the sun went down- the stars you can see out this way will literally blow your mind.

Upstairs is a generous lounge and dining area, with cosy couches, Netflix and wifi. There’s  a generous table for family meals, seating on the deck to listen to the waves rolling in, and a rear decking area with BBQ facilities- so you can cook up a storm while you watch the kids run around outside.

We loved spending days walking down the coast- the beach is literally at the end of your street, and you will easily find yourself losing hours down there. When we were not at the beach, we walked into town to grab the best coffees from Big Sky, looking out for the Cockle Train, treats from the bakery and brunch and treats from Pipi. The best thing about being in this slice of paradise is that you can take life as slow or as fast paced as you want to. Don’t want to leave the house and just want to relax and unwind? Perfect. As long as you’ve done a food shop, you’ll have everything you’ll need. Want to get adventurous and explore? Middleton itself has plenty of beautiful places, the surf beach is fantastic and it’s neighbouring suburbs are just as good too.
