If you are looking for a home away from home, but with all the bells and whistles, and enough room to escape the kids then keep reading- because I’ve found the place for you.

Just after the Easter long weekend my partner and I visited Robe, one of my most favourite seaside towns in all of SA. It’s long sandy beaches, array of cafes and woodfire brewery are just a few reasons why we visit, but now I’ve got one more reason to add to the list.

A two story, entertainers delight at 128 the Esplanade.

We stayed in this house for 2 nights thanks to the crew at Happyshack– one of Robes leading holiday rentals. Usually when we visit we peruse Airbnb to find a cottage or something low key, but when we were given the opportunity to stay her how could have we said no!

Firstly, this house is MASSIVE. Two stories, in the perfect possie right on the Esplanade- Robe’s famous Long Beach is a stone throw away from the balcony. It offers 5 bedrooms and sleeps 12 people, with 2 bunk beds, 2 double beds and 2 master bedrooms with their own ensuite- no fighting over beds here! The beds are pretty damn comfy, and there’s plenty of throw rugs getting around for the cooler months (as well as a great heating/aircon system).

It’s the ultimate entertainer, with a billiard and table tennis table downstairs, as well as televisions in both loungerooms (kids downstairs, adults upstairs, happy days). Their full functioning kitchen came in super handy when we visited- nothing like cooking up your own full English brekky and enjoying it on the deck looking out to the ocean. My idea of perfection.

If you’re the outdoors type you’ll be stoked to see the large solar heated pool out the back, fully fenced to keep the little ones at bay. We didn’t use it on our stay (let’s just say it was a bit cold and I’m a bit of a chicken), but i’m hanging out to return and get some good use out of it. There’s also a Weber to use out on the deck, perfect for those balmy summer nights.

If you have a family with kids, are a group of mates looking for the ultimate holiday house for the weekend or are just a couple looking for a bit of room to move in the perfect location, check out this joint.

You can find the listing here on Happyshack.

***Happyshack was kind enough to put us up for 2 nights. Although they generously looked after us, all opinions remain honest and my own- and we LOVED our stay***
