Beetroot hot chocolates, raw treats and the best in South Australian produce.

Say hello to The Seller Door.

On busy Jetty Road at Brighton, The Seller Door is a hub for all things local produce, healthy (and a little bit naughty), platters and smoothie bowls.

The space is bright and open, with the walls lined with plenty of locally sourced goods available to purchase- think everything from candles by Etikette, pasta from Willunga Pasta, chutneys from Spice Girlz and protein powder from Happy Way. There’s also a fridge filled with locally sourced cheeses (for platters to eat in store, or available takeaway for beach picnics) and a freezer stocked with Sunshine Iceblocks– popular with the big and little kids.

There’s plenty of art on display at the moment (they are participating in the SALA festival), as well as a good splash of blackboard paint and a whole lot of timber. In terms of dining in, you’ll find long communal tables, bench seats and wooden chairs, as well as plenty of outdoor seating and even room for a pram or 2. Kids are most welcome at the Sellar- with high chairs on hand for the little ones and space to toddle around.

I’m slowly in the process of eating and drinking my way through the menu, but to be honest, its taking a while- their menu is LONG.

If you’re feeling healthy, or if you have dietary restrictions (Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free) these guys have got you covered. They have plenty of raw treats on hand (their raw snickers and bliss balls are next level), as well as Vegan Donuts and sweets from Adelaide company From The Wild.

If you are looking for something a bit more substantive, then you need to feast your eyes on their Smoothie Bowls- I hear the peanut butter bowl is next level and is a bit of a feat to finish. They also offer ‘Nude Toast’, with their sourdough bread being baked by their neighbours at Jetty Road Bakery. It’s best served with a thick slather of their housemade chocolate hazelnut spread or pumpkin and beetroot skordalia.

Off the menu I’ve tried their Frittata, Panini’s, ‘The Original’ Toast and Bircher Muesli so far, and I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The Bircher is the perfect brekky, especially if you’re on the run (I’ve been known to eat one in the car when life gets a little hectic).

In terms of liquids you will be overwhelmed with choice. Coffee lovers will rejoice when they see Mahalia Coffee from Robe running through their machine. If you’re after something cooler then get stuck into Mischief Brew’s Cold Brew Coffee- it’s a personal fav and goes down a treat in summer. Teas are from South Australian tea company ‘The Tea Catcher‘, and smoothies are also filled to the brim with SA products.

I’m a huge fan of their ‘Alternative Lattes’- their Beetroot Hot Choccie (beetroot, cacao, ginger and pink rock salt) and Green Matcha Latte are my standouts if you’re after something a bit different.

If you’re on Jetty Road and want a cafe with some healthy options, plenty of SA goodness all great vibes then pop into The Seller Door.

You can find The Seller Door at 73 Brighton Road, Brighton
