if you are a shopper at the Willunga Markets or float around the south of Adelaide then it’s more than likely that you have heard about of one of my favourite mobile coffee brew bars.

if you haven’t then you can thank me later because this will turn your morning shop at the farmers market a million times more exciting.

drum roll please.

you will find this little beauty most saturday mornings in the “Meat Street” section of the Willunga Farmers Market surrounded by pastramis and plenty of keen people to get their morning brew. with their cart comes plenty of tables, eclectic chairs and milk crates used as little tables + stools. even though they are not a permanent fixture it still feels like a cafe when you come here,  with homely touches like pot plants sitting on the tables.

villere coffee from Mclaren Flat is generally their bean of choice, with the smell filling the air and drawing market goers to their little abode. keeping with the loving local theme, from humble grounds also sources their milk from local suppliers and even use local almonds in their house made almond milk.

on Saturdays you’ll find Rebecca Moore and Rob Negerman behind the cart made of recycled wine staves, taking orders and dishing out lattes here there and everywhere with a smile that is bound to brighten up your morning. Rebecca is known widely in the coffee scene in Adelaide, helping some of Adelaide’s fastest growing and award winning cafes. she has a passion for all things local, is a incredible barista and a fantastic baker- you know what i’m talking about when you sink your teeth into a home made rich chocolate brownie or a lemon/lime brulee tart. Rob is the IT guy in the business and does a lot of the behind the scenes sides of things but you will still see him taking orders and running coffees to the stallholders at the market.

if you don’t have the chance to make it to the markets in the mornings you can always find From Humble Grounds popping up around various places especially in the McLaren Vale wine region. Lately they have been spending time at Pennys Hill where you can sip on a latte, devour a sweet or two and toast a Four Winds Chocolate marshmallow stick in the fire- but they are forever moving around and can be hired for events, functions and even weddings. there are big things on the cards for 2016 for this growing business but they are secretly under wraps- and I can’t wait to see all the exciting things to come!

you can find From Humble Grounds at the Willunga Farmers Market or online on their Facebook page or Instagram
