so its our usual tuesday morning.

we get showered, shove the granny trolley in the car (mine has chevrons on it in an attempt to be cool) and head off to the adelaide central markets. after visiting our regular fruit and veg stall we dump the trolley and wander over to our new favourite market spot- comida catering co.

As soon as this place opened we jumped at the chance to visit. Spanish cuisine, tapas, proper ginger beer. I got excited. You can sit at the bar and chomp away on some little plates of delightfulness or there’s tables just outside of the restaurant in the main thoroughfare of the markets (perfect for people watching and hearing about the specials on mangos next door). every time we visit we are greeted with a smile and a chat and you feel like your part of the comida family. well I do anyways, and its a good feeling.

i’m slowly working my way through the menu and so far everything has been delicious. a decent size for tapas, value for money and authentic food. the sweets are delectable (highly recommend the salted caramel tart) and you can even get yourself a can of Moritz beer. Brad and his team are always on point when it comes to service and they whip up a fab coffee. To the point that I will even drink the coffee without milk- now that means the coffee is good. They also do a giant paella which sells out very quickly so it must be good..

I have lost half the photos of the food I have taken here, but that’s okay, because it gives me a good excuse to come back and eat again. Not like I need one though.

you can find the comida catering co at stall 11 at the adelaide central markets. They also specialize in catering, weddings and other functions. I want to get engaged already so I can have these guys cater (no pressure or anything to my better half). couldn’t rave on about these guys enough!
